SPECIALIST COACHES

PE and sport are important parts of life at Jebel Ali School.

All students, irrespective of their ability and sporting talents are encouraged to take part in our extra-curricular programme and try to represent the school in sports competitions.

Each term we offer a broad and balanced range of sports within both our curriculum and extra-curricular programme.

Each week all year groups participate in two PE lessons that are delivered by fully trained PE teachers and supported by specialist sports coaches. Throughout the academic year, the school competes in a wide range of sports leagues and competitions hosted by DASSA, which start in Year 3 and continue through to Year 13.

SPORTS

Our PE curriculum encourages all students to lead a healthy, active lifestyle, and plays a vital role in supporting all students with their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing. It also helps students to develop a sense of belonging and establish positive relationships with their peers.

The PE curriculum includes invasion games, net and wall games, swimming, gymnastics, dance, striking and fielding, and athletics. Besides these mainstream activities, we also deliver up-and-coming sports such as ultimate frisbee, cheerleading, water polo, handball and many more.

All students from Year 3 all the way up to Year 13 can take part in activities before school, during lunchtimes and after school.

Our sports teams compete in weekly fixtures, sports festivals, and historical tournaments across Dubai. These include swimming, aquathlon, cross country, athletics, gymnastics, rugby, football, basketball, netball, badminton, rounders, and cricket.

Specific information regarding fixtures, tournaments, results, and league tables can be found on our sports website at www.jebelalischoolsport.org PE as a career choice has never been more relevant to our ever-evolving world of fitness, sporting business and sports science. For students who aspire to work in sport leisure and/or fitness, our academic PE pathways are ideal.
