vitality and wellbeing

When it comes to nurturing young minds, a healthy diet is just as important as textbooks and classrooms.

At Jebel Ali School, we understand the vital role that nutrition plays in our students’ academic performance and overall well-being. That’s why we’re excited to announce our partnership with Leela’s Lunches, a move that promises to revolutionize school meals at JAS.

The Foundation of Healthy Eating

Jebel Ali School has always been committed to promoting healthy eating habits among our students. We firmly believe that a well-balanced diet not only fuels their bodies but also enhances their ability to excel in the classroom. To support this belief, our dedicated JAS Nurses offer guidance and ideas for nutritious lunch and snack options on our school website.

Year Group nutrition

Understanding that different age groups have varying dietary needs and preferences, we’ve tailored our meal options accordingly:

  • Foundation to Primary: Students in this age range have the flexibility to either bring their own snacks and lunch or opt for cafeteria-delivered meals.
  • Secondary: Our older students can choose between bringing their meals from home or exploring the diverse menu available at the cafeteria.

How to Get Started

For parents interested in Leela’s Lunches meal plans, the sign-up process is straightforward:

Our students have access to healthy meal and beverage options at our fully equipped campus cafeteria which is managed by Leela’s Lunches, school food experts.

To sign up, parents must simply do the following:

  1. Visit the webiste https://leelaslunches.com/payment/ and  create an account through the app

For Primary children: Parents will have the option to sign their child up for the daily in-class mean plan. The meal plan is subscribed to monthly, and you will be required to make the corresponding payment for the first month on the portal. Their child will then be automatically enrolled to receive meals in class, and all the parents need to do is top up the account at any time.

For Secondary children: Parents can either sign up for the monthly meal plan option or add credit to their individual cashless card accounts. The cashless card will be provided to their children on day 1 and they can use it to purchase food items. Parents will be able to top up the card at any time.

Please remember to state any food allergies when creating the account.
