Governance at Jebel Ali School

Meaningful and effective school governance is the platform for innovation in curricula, teaching, and learning and sits at the heart of our commitment to providing a world class education and fostering whole-of-school student engagement.

Governance at Jebel Ali School influences the way our school is managed and led, and the way we set and ‘live’ our values. Good governance is about making sure that our school is well-run and governed with purpose, and in accordance with the Taaleem group’s values. This involves planning and preserving our heritage, ethos, and reputation.

Good governance also ensures sound financial planning and effective human resource management as well as transparency and accountability for the organisation’s educational actions and decisions.

Though our school Principal has overall responsibility for our governance, it is formally overseen by two groups: the Taaleem Education Board, and the Jebel Ali School Advisory Board.
