Jebel Ali Primary School was established in 1977, and as such we have served the educational needs of children in Dubai for many years. In 1986 we were privileged to receive a Decree from His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum cementing the independent and non profit making status of our school.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we are a not for profit school which means we are not focused on making money. We reinvest all of our income on the education and welfare of our pupils. We strongly believe that we bring an essential and positive dimension to the educational landscape of Dubai. Our mission of putting children first is pivotal to everything we do. We strive to achieve the highest of academic standards alongside developing the whole child.
KHDA defines a not for profit school as ‘a school that exists purely for educational reasons; one which is governed by an independent Board with parent representation and from which its shareholders, trustees or any third parties do not benefit financially. Fiscal surpluses, if any, are put back into the institution to further the pursuit of its goals.
Jebel Ali School is a school with an excellent record of academic success. The students at Jebel Ali School have consistently outperformed their UK counterparts. Our SATs show a very high percentage of our students achieving results above the UK national average and international benchmarks.

‘Creative planning provided excellent cross curricular links and real life applications. The curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of students, was outstanding.’ — DSIB
Whilst academic standards are very important to us here at Jebel Ali School we take a holistic approach towards learning. We have a broad and balanced curriculum which fosters the development of your child as a unique and responsible global citizen in the 21st Century.
We are a community school; our students, staff, parents and wider community all contribute to, and drive, our success.
We have a dedicated member of staff, our Community Liaison Officer, who concentrates our efforts to link with our community. We behave as a community in every way. The involvement of our parents is integral to our success. Hearing the voice of our parents and embracing their involvement in our school is so important to us that the chairperson of our Parent Teacher Association is a full member of our school Board of Governors.
We provide a high performance learning environment which recognises your child as an individual. We nurture and inspire your child to reach high standards of academic success, to be socially confident and to take responsibility for their learning.
‘Building Learning Power’ is embedded into our teaching and learning, enabling our students to become better learners, develop their portable learning power and prepare them for a lifetime of learning.

‘Students’ learning skills were outstanding across the school. They increasingly took responsibility for their own learning, reviewing their learning targets in subjects and critically reviewing their own work as well as that of others.’ — DSIB
